Tag Heuer Formula 1 Watch Repair

I’ve had a lot of Tag Heuer watches come in for repairs and/or battery changes recently. It’s no wonder, because Tag Heuer is extremely popular here in South Australia. Tag Heuer make great watches and with their pieces priced lower than both Rolex and Omega, they make an attractive option for those consumers wanting to buy their first luxury watch.

With Tag Heuer you get the same history, prestige and quality as other brands, but without as steep of a price tag. Mechanical Tag Heuers, just like all other mechanical watches, will need servicing every five years. This means taking them completely apart, cleaning, reassembling and lubricating. As part of a service, I also replace the seals, regulate it for time keeping and pressure test the watch.

By getting your watch serviced every five years you avoid wear and tear, potential pricey faults, and extend the life of your watch. Battery watches, on the other hand, don’t need servicing as often or to the same extent. It is however recommended to replace the seals on battery watches every 7-10 years and check their water resistance.
